WTF-8

I got this dialog when attempting to insert a ↩ into Xcode:

[Encoding Conflict. You are trying to insert characters that cannot be handled by the file's current encoding. Do you want to promote the file to a richer encoding? (Promote to UTF8) (Cancel) (Promote to Unicode)]

Love the encoding smarts, but last I checked, UTF-8 was one of several ways of encoding the Unicode character set – they're not alternative encodings to choose between.

("Unicode" seems to denote UTF-16 in this case.)
